We all believe that Science has become a "close friend" than humans in this modern century, which with human science has a longer way to find many new things in the form of theory and even tools that help facilitate life. Meanwhile in the histories studied at school, we often hear that the use of science in the past is very very limited and that does not include how "very, very" limited science before prehistory.

But apart from that all there are some "science" equipment inherited from the past and are known to have extraordinary functions but strangely science theories in the present have absolutely no explanation of how people in the past were able to make or possess such extraordinary equipment. As if the equipment of the past was only suddenly present to say that our theory of them was a big mistake. Curious, bro? just read it right away.

  • The deadly "Greek Fire" is a family recipe?

  • For those of you fans of the series Naruto must have known one of the unique jutsu possessed by the Uchiha family named Amaterasu. It is said that the Amaterasu Fire is a special fire that is not extinguished, even if the victim throws himself into the water. Now in the real world, the same fire is also found precisely in Greece so people call "Greek Fire". Greek Fire is known to be made and used by the elite Greek Sea Fleet war as a deadly weapon. It is said that Greek Fire is so deadly that it can burn through the skin and is impossible to extinguish by water.

The Roman Empire was known to try to imitate this fire but never found a suitable composition, even until this modern century, scientists still did not know what composition was used to make this extraordinary deadly fire. One of the closest experiments was when National Geographic tried to guess the composition of Greek Fire using a kind of silver and mixed between special oils with Pine wood resin, this composition at least produced a fire that could destroy the ship in "minutes". A good guess, but still the composition of Greek Fire is actually still a "secret" recipe for the family.

  • Damascus steel is amazing

  • Islamic civilization is known to have been a pioneer in the world of war devices with one of its extraordinary inventions in the form of a sword known as "Damascus steel". The unidirectional note from the crusader fighters said that the Damascus iron sword was said to be not only extremely sharp so that it could cut the handkerchief in the air, but it was also very flexible so that when it was bent 90 degrees it could return as usual without any damage. But unfortunately, until the 21st century itself, it is still unclear, what exactly is the secret recipe for Damascus Iron.

  • Zhang Heng's seismoscope was unique

  • It is known as the first earthquake-detection in history. It is a mysterious golden container, with a dragon ornament that bites the metal ball accompanied by a frog ornament right under the dragon. How can this strange thing work? The trick is that when an earthquake occurs, one of the dragons - representing each direction of the compass directions - will release the golden metal ball which is bitten into the mouth of the frog ornament that gaps underneath. Demonstrate with precision the direction of the earthquake event.

What is special about this tool? Zhang Heng's Seismoscope was known to be able to determine the direction of earthquake events from a distance of 400 miles away, where the effects of earthquake vibrations did not affect the vibration at the place where the Seismoscope was located. Until now, it was unclear how the explanation of how this instrument could determine the direction of the earthquake - while no one knew what was inside the gold container - some speculated that the container contained the real Dragon so that it made more sense that Zhang Heng's Seismoscope used a system pendulum based. But still that doesn't explain the real theory.

  • Ulfberht Swords, Damascus Steel twin?

  • Archaeologists in modern times were surprised by the discovery of an extraordinary sword of the Viking people called "Ulfberht Sword". This sword is known to have an extraordinary manufacturing technique that makes it have a pure metal composition. But strangely this complicated technique should not be owned by the Vikings even by other nations for at least the next 800 years. What is unique is a convincing theory that the Vikings adapted this sword-making technique to the makers of the Damascus steel swords themselves. This theory is supported by the discovery of the Viking tomb in Scandinavia which surprised him to have Islamic artifacts that read "From / For Allah" buried with them.

  • The Truth of the Iron Pillar of Delhi which was debated

  • What is strange about an ordinary Iron Pillar that has stood for approximately 1600 years? If that is still not strange, what if it turns out that the "iron" pillar did not rust at all even at the age that was almost as old as India itself. Experts are known to argue about how the iron pillar of Delhi can survive the threat of rust that lurks iron in general, not to mention the position of the iron pillar is outdoors or outdoor, so the rust should be his best friend due to continuous weather exposure, but in fact iron pillars it still stands firm without rust.

The experts themselves are divided into two camps and give their respective hypotheses. The camp said that it was "caused by the climate of Delhi, India which is known to be in the right place and time", while the material camp said that "the presence of phosphorus, the absence of sulfur, and manganese in iron, plus the size of the pillar" were the real causes . But still the two theories above have not been fully tested. While it is beyond his differences of opinion, these experts agree with one thing, which is still a mystery how pure stainless steel can be made into extraordinary iron pillars.
